1. Install Apple's free TestFlight app on your Apple TV.
2. Open the beta link on your iPhone or Mac and install Klangbild.
3. Open Klangbild. It looks for your Roon Core automatically.
4. In Roon, go to Settings › Extensions and enable “Klangbild”.

• Make sure the Apple TV and the Roon Core are on the same network (not a guest network).
• Allow local network access: on the Apple TV, open Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network and turn on Klangbild.
• Enter the Core's IP address on Klangbild's connection screen. You find it in Roon under Settings › General. The port is detected automatically (usually 9330).

Roon asks you to approve every new extension once. Open Roon on another device, go to Settings › Extensions and enable “Klangbild” (publisher: Piero Ballistreri). Klangbild connects as soon as you have done this.

Roon creates an entry each time Klangbild starts before it has been enabled. Enable one of them and remove the others. Older entries named “com.example.klangbild” come from early beta builds and can be removed.

Klangbild is a remote and display. To play audio through the Apple TV, enable it as an AirPlay zone in Roon under Settings › Audio, then pick that zone in Klangbild.

Klangbild shows the artwork Roon provides. Playlists and folders get a mosaic of the covers they contain. If Roon has no image for an album, a neutral placeholder appears.

Roon's interface for extensions doesn't share when a track was added. “Newest first” therefore reverses the playlist order, which puts recently added tracks on top in most playlists. You can also sort by title or artist.
